Friday, March 7th, check our electronic music Dj, Umek

Electronic Music DJ UMEK

It would take a lengthy essay to fully explain UMEK’s meaning to electronic music. The Slovenian born producer and DJ has been setting

trends and rocking dance floors for two decades now – and still shows no signs of slowing down. He’s tireless in his techno and tech house production and with more than 100 gigs per year, probably one of the busiest techno DJs out there.

He’s not only been rocking our ears with his own productions for labels like Toolroom, Spinnin, Great Stuff, Intec and many more, but has also been heavily involved in choosing who to sign to his arty imprint 1605, which mostly supports young and talented artists who haven’t yet made it on the global party scene.

Having conquered most of world’s biggest stages and festivals, UMEK started his own weekly radio show “Behind the Iron Curtain” which immediately landed on dozens of the world’s hippest EDM radio stations.    BUY TICKETS FOR UMEK.

Saturday, March 8th, dace to the music of the dynamic duo; Fur Coat

DJ Duo Fur Coat

After laying down serious sets at WMC and touring the globe with Rebel Rave, Fur Coat are hoping to take their music to the next level. With forthcoming releases coming on Crosstown Rebels, Hot Creations and remixes for Timo Maas & DJ W!LD, as well as a tour diary which is filled to the brim, including We Are Festival (Upmister), Sonar (Barcelona), Sankeys (Ibiza) and Wavefront Festival (Chicago), 2014 is set to be the dynamic duo’s year. However for Fur Coat, this is only the beginning of their story…

It was a chance meeting at a house party in 2004 that would throw the duo together and lead to a musical intertwining which would drape itself royally over the shoulders of the music industry. After being snapped up by Crosstown Rebels founder Damian Lazarus in 2010, they remixed Russ Yallop’s ‘The Crossroads’ and then released their debut EP “Space Ballad”, featuring an unforgettable edit by TEED. Their release ‘You and I’ featuring vocals from Cari Golden became an anthem at BPM festival and the Miami Winter Music Conference, and became one of the biggest deep house records of 2012. Since his fourth full length dropped on Systematic Recordings and the launch of his own label Babiczstyle in 2010, Robert Babicz has writer, recorder and performer Robert Babiczcontinued to reveal his talent and skill as one of Europe’s most essential techno producers.

Robert’s musical output is inspiring and staggering. A true one-man operation, he writes, records and performs solo; commanding an ever-expanding touring schedule, tailoring the music he creates to the cities he visits. But that’s only part of the puzzle, Babicz’s art is comprised of more than just his music. He films everything. Using his music to open doors and build relationships with people in only the way music can, he then records his experiences and interaction on film, both still and moving, later editing the images together as a picture track to his audio.

Robert creates short films that capture the emotions, colours and feel of his trips, his music and the people he finds who want to be part of that experience. In turn these then also have an effect on his music colouring his emotive, unique take on electronica with a very human feel. BUY TICKETS.
