Vanilla Ace Plays at Audio Nightclub Friday August 1st, 2014

London’s Vanilla Ace exploded on to the scene in 2012 with releases for Toolroom, MODA, Blockhead, Maquina and Ministry of Sound. With a distinctive production sound somewhere between House and Disco lovingly influenced by New Jack Swing and the 1980′s, his tracks have had support from the likes of The Magician, Soulclap and Seth Troxler to name a few.

2013-2014 has seen Vanilla Ace grow from strength to strength with high charting singles on Beatport, Traxsource and Trackitdown and his recent ‘Musicology’ EP on Andre Crom’s OFF recordings received acclaim from bloggers, DJ’s and fans alike. With a steady stream of recent releases including a joint EP with Sharam Jay and remixes for Basement Jaxx, S’Express and Nora En Pure , Vanilla Ace continues his quest to create quality house music with soul. Le Youth Plays at Audio Nigthclub Saturday August 2nd, 2014

90′s sounds refracted through a thoroughly modern aesthetic. Tracks that are serious about moving a dance floor full of people without coming on too strong. Breezy California vibes touched by a twist of European flair and an air of mystery. This is what Le Youth is about. 

Wes James is the slightly enigmatic Angeleno behind Le Youth, a producer without a past whose music is steeped in it. His signature sound is a blend of Clinton-era R&B and the house music that was lighting up dancefloors and radio stations around the globe during the same period, and the leisurely grooves, airy synthesizers, and pop hooks of a song like his debut single “C O O L” can easily pull a listener back to the pre-millennial, pre-Internet days when dance music offered a transcendentally blissful brand of hedonism that’s considerably harder to find on today’s aggro-edged EDM landscape.
